Container Loaders
Container Loaders are part of our general warehouse team that work either indoors or outdoors. They load and unload in and out of trucks or ships using material moving equipment and may perform a variety of other tasks relating to the shipment of products.
General Tasks
- Operate conveyors and equipment to transfer items to and from transportation vehicles
- Record operating data such as product quantities either manually or using computers
- Operate ship loading and unloading equipment, conveyors, hoists, and other specialised material handling equipment such as railroad tank car unloading equipment.
- Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks, and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses.
- Perform general warehouse activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, and weighing and checking materials.
Experience
- Physical stamina for bending, stooping, and lifting
- Teamwork to perform duties and tasks and ensure all processes are completed correctly
- Math skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Computer proficiency to record inventory
